NHBM: O.P. Berry Mill

The O.P. Berry Mill Complex manufactured wooden tool handles and excelsior, fine wood shavings used as packing materials and stuffing for furniture. Excelsior was also used as stuffing for Teddy bears.

Paul Turner (1947-2016) drew up very detailed plans of the original buildings from which he constructed this HO scale model.

The Land Bank of Wolfeboro-Tuftonboro Berry Mill Project has a goal of raising $1.5 million by September 2022 to purchase and protect the 3.7 acres of the mill site.
